THE POWER OF INNOVATION
Created in controlled environments using technology that recreates the conditions diamonds form under in nature, these stones share the exact physical, optical, and chemical properties of those drawn from the earth. They are not cubic zirconia. They are not crystals. They are diamonds — with a different origin story.
Think of ice. Glacier ice, formed over thousands of years, is chemically identical to the ice that forms in your freezer overnight. Both are pure water; both are unmistakably ice. The only difference is the path each took to get there. A diamond is no different — and for those who look closely at where their jewelry comes from, the newer path holds a quiet appeal all its own.
How are lab-grown diamonds made?
These stones are cultivated through two remarkable processes, each a recreation of nature’s own:
HPHT (High Pressure, High Temperature)
Immense presses recreate the heat and pressure found deep in the earth’s mantle, where diamonds are born.
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition)
Inside a vacuum chamber, carbon atoms rain down upon a single diamond seed, and a crystal grows — atom by atom.
What this technology offers is freedom. Released from the natural scarcity that shapes traditional supply, we can offer larger carat weights, higher clarity, and a wider canvas for design — beauty, made more abundant.
The Accredited Diamond 4Cs
Just like earth-mined diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are graded by the same 4C standards. Each standard features specific characteristics that determine a diamond’s value.
- Cut: The artistry that determines how the stone reflects light and sparkles.
- Color: The measure of a diamond’s structural purity, ranging from colorless to warm hues.
- Clarity: The presence—or absence—of tiny, natural birthmarks inside the stone.
- Carat: The physical weight of the diamond, defining its scale and presence.
UNCOMPROMISING BRILLIANCE: THE TOP 0.1%
The lab-grown world is vast, and not every cultivated diamond is created equal. At TAITE, our diamond experts hand-select only the finest stones available, working within parameters most jewelers reserve for their rarest pieces:
- Color: D–F (colorless to near-colorless)
- Clarity: VS–VVS (eye-clean to nearly flawless)
- Cut: Excellent only, for the fullest return of light
Every TAITE piece is made with these stones and no others. For your complete assurance, each diamond over one carat arrives with a full certificate from the International Gemological Institute (IGI), which you can verify directly through their global portal here.
Liberating Luxury
There is a certain satisfaction in choosing well — in looking past how things have always been done and asking what makes sense today.
By using cultivated diamonds, we can offer extraordinary quality for considerably less — a TAITE stone can cost as little as a third of a comparable mined diamond. For our community, this isn’t about spending less, but about knowing exactly what you’re paying for, and why.
That clarity extends to everything behind the stone: a transparent, traceable supply chain, and studios we’ve vetted for safe conditions and fair practices. It’s a choice that feels good in every direction — and we’re so glad you’re here.
